+How do I get started?

I welcome you to get in touch! Feel free to email, call, or use the contact form on my website. From there, we can schedule a 20-30 minute complimentary call to hear a bit about you and for you to ask any initial questions you may have. We can then discuss the possibility of setting up an initial in-person appointment.

+What is your availability?

I offer sessions Monday-Thursday 10am-5pm (typically 4pm is my last scheduled session). I am not able to accommodate evening or weekend appointment times.

+Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes, I am currently only offering virtual sessions, and may not return to in-person visits. I offer online video-based therapy via a secure HIPAA-compliant platform, Zoom. Many clients find it to be on par with in person sessions, and have the added benefit of it being more convenient. Please be sure that you have access to a regular, private space and high-speed internet.

+What is your rate and how can I pay?

My current rate is $275 per 50-minute session. Payment is due at each appointment. I accept debit and credit cards, and will ask for a card to hold your initial appointment.

+Do you take insurance?

I do not accept insurance, so I am considered an out-of-network provider. If you have a PPO you may be eligible for partial or full reimbursement of psychological services. I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company. Please contact your insurance provider directly to determine your eligibility.

+Where are you located?

I am only holding virtual sessions at this time, and I may not return to in-person visits.

I continue to have an office in SF at 3150 18th St at 18th St and Harrison St.

+How long are sessions and how often will we meet?

Therapy sessions are generally 50 minutes. If you prefer a longer session, we can discuss that. I work with clients on a weekly basis and ask for this level of commitment.

+How long will therapy take to work?

Change is an incremental process that takes time. Therapy requires a commitment to change and honesty. It is a safe place where you can explore what has been blocking you and grow in the direction of your highest potential. Clients often report changes within the first few months. Lasting change related to internal habits of thought and longstanding relationship patterns often requires a longer commitment.

+What is your cancellation policy?

I ask that you alert me in advance of any upcoming need to cancel an appointment, as this helps me to plan accordingly. The earlier you are able to let me know you can’t make it, the better. I reserve your appointment time just for you, which means that I don’t offer it to others who might want or need that time.

Cancellations within 48 hours of an appointment time are considered a late cancellation and will be charged the full fee for the session. If you cancel late but can reschedule within the same business week and I have a time available, I will not charge you for the cancellation. If you miss an appointment without getting in touch or canceling ahead of time, you will be responsible for the full fee of the appointment, and I will charge the card I have on file at the time of session.

+Do you prescribe medication?

No, only medical providers (i.e. physicians, psychiatrists, etc.) are able to prescribe medication. I am happy to work directly with your prescriber if you would like, and we can collaborate on how to best assist you.

+How does my Lyra Health benefit work?

Lyra is an employee health benefit that offers a certain number of therapy sessions covered for short-term care. I am a Lyra provider and can offer short-term psychotherapy (usually under 6 months) if you have this benefit through your employer. I have a limited number of spots available for Lyra clients, so please check with me if I am currently accepting Lyra clients. If we work together under Lyra, you are welcome to continue after using this benefit by paying privately. You may be able to get a portion of these out-of-pocket expenses reimbursed by your primary health insurance company; please check with your insurance provider directly to determine your eligibility.
